The cause of this has been located as one of 4 backend servers with a corrupt or defective RTC (real time clock).
Servers use NTP to keep time in sync but when the clock is so far outside of what NTP receives, it will not sync.
The node has been replaced and all workloads have been resumed back over to it.
This will have affected 1 in every 4 requests both for new tickets and updated once, from the portal and by staff.
Apologies for any confusion with out of line updates.
We are seeing cases where a date sync issue is being seen on some tickets raised between 28th March and 5th April.
Our engineers are currently investigating the cause as this is making some ticket appear out of sync and dates appearing a month behind or ahead of the current date.
