Off-Network Service Outage Wednesday 20th April 2022 1:11:00 pm


We are aware that due to some changes made to our off-network location overnight, some backup services were not fully operational. This included our secondary time server and some of our phone numbers for some routes.

This was due to changes made to increase our defences from the attacks from 7th April ([https://status.xilo.net/incidents/150]).

The changes did not affect any primary services, including hosting, domains, servers, portal, DNS (static or anycast) or SSL issuance.

We have isolated and resolved the issue and our team is receiving a high number of calls. We appreciate your patience.

This change was made at approximately 7:19pm on 19th April.

Our monitoring did not catch the change as it was within a trusted IP range. We will be looking at adding further external monitoring to services to avoid a reoccurrence in the future.
